From: Joel and Judith Sent: November 10, 1999 5:57 PM To: ..Tim Scully Subject: LRAPA minutes Hi, I put together a short report of the last meeting. I did not take any notes, so I need feedback as to its completeness. Any suggestions? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Minutes of the LITTLE RIVER AIRPORT PILOTS' ASSOCIATION a California nonprofit public benefit corporation November 6, 1999 An informal meeting was held at 9am on this date. Members present were Tim Scully, Joel Bornstein, Richard Gallagher and Dave Thorpe. Due to the lack of a quorum, no formal votes were made. We painted the protective posts around the new fuel tank yellow, to increase their visibility and to prevent rust. We need to reimburse Richard Gallagher for the paint and supplies, as well as Joel Bornstein for some aerial photographs which were taken by Nicolas Wilson. Joel paid him $20 for film, etc. Tim suggested that he might invite a weather specialist from Eureka to make a presentation at one of our meetings. Joel thought this was a fine idea. Joel is concerned with the small number of active members of the association. He feels that we might get a favorable exposure if we sponsored such a meeting. Joel suggested that we might consider holding our meetings at a local restaurant, where the prospect of a breakfast gathering might be appealing to some. We spoke briefly of the need for an election of LRAPA board members. We are almost a year overdue, according to our by-laws. Tim suggested that we hold an E-meeting, It would be used to fulfill our immediate needs and invite members to consider running for LRAPA office. Secretary, Joel Bornstein
