Minutes of the Little River Airport Pilots Association 10/19/2002 We met in the airport office at 9am. Dick Ahrens, Tim Scully, Kathie Sarin, Elly van den Bosch, Jeffrey Osier-Mixon and Dave Thorpe were present We discussed the status of the parcel the county is trying to acquire at the approach end of 29. Ed Powers had said he had bought the land, and that escrow was to close a month ago, but according to DOT, escrow has not yet closed. The terms he wants from the County are difficult and might lead to an impasse. We discussed various possibilities. We agreed that Tim Scully should contact CPA and AOPA for advice. Jeffrey expressed an interest in filling the LRAAC vacency left by Dennis Vest's resignation. Tim Scully agreed to send him an application. Anyone else interested in applying for the open pilot position on the LRAAC should contact Tim Scully for an application. You must be registered to vote in Mendocino County. Tim Scully reported that Tom Peters of DOT had said they are considering amending Dave Thorpe's contract to allow for a part-time involvement in the propsed map/snack/souvenir project. NOTE: if you send me an email about LRAPA affairs, please let me know if I can forward it to the rest of the members. Thanks. If you see any errors or omissions in the minutes, please let me know. If you want to be removed from this mailing list, please let me know. We normally meet the Saturday following the LRAAC meeting. This is usually the 3rd Saturday of the month, but there are occasional exceptions.
